After a disappointing show at the Manchester 10k in May this was my chance to set the record straight. We all have bad days but it is how we respond that counts. So having overcome my illness problems I was able to get some good training sessions in before the Watford BMC.
With a pace maker set and a quality field of athletes looking to run sub 16 minutes it was an ideal opportunity to revise my personal best. The race went through a swift first kilometer but I was feeling good. After a great battle in the final lap for 3rd place I came home in a new pb of 15.44.2. Happy!
