After a brief spell back in Loughborough it was time to head over the pond to Albuquerque, the land of enchantment.
Located along the muddy Rio Grande, Albuquerque is framed by the rugged 10,000 ft Sandia Mountains to the east and a wide volcanic escarpment to the west. The Paseo del Bosque is an impressive 16 mile bike path, the marathon runner’s tempo paradise. On the easier days you can take to the Sandia foothills and run among the cactus and tumbleweed.
Here are a few pictures of the amazing running terrain and also our trip to the Petroglyph National Monument to watch the sun set.
